For equipment manufacturers

Every unit you build, connected from day one

Your customers increasingly expect remote monitoring as standard. TrackSyte® lets manufacturers of CCTV towers, generators, hybrid power units, battery storage, welfare units and lighting towers fit one gateway on the production line, so every unit leaves the factory connected — without building a telemetry platform of your own.

Neo 2 connects to the controllers, battery systems and engines you already fit — over CAN bus, RS485 / Modbus, Ethernet, digital inputs or Bluetooth — and sends the data to a portal you can white-label under your own brand, and over MQTT or the API to your own systems.

Why manufacturers fit remote monitoring at the factory

Hire companies and operators now choose equipment partly on how easy it is to monitor. A unit that arrives already connected is quicker to put to work, easier to support and easier to sell than one that needs a third-party tracker added afterwards.

Fitting at the factory is also simply better engineering. The gateway is wired to the right controllers and battery systems once, tested before the unit ships, and installed the same way on every unit — rather than retrofitted differently by every customer.

  • A stronger product: remote monitoring as a standard feature or paid option
  • Fewer warranty and support visits, because faults can be checked remotely
  • Field data on how your equipment is actually used
  • Closer, longer relationships with the customers who run your equipment

One gateway for every product line

Most manufacturers build more than one kind of equipment, each with different electronics. Neo 2 is designed to cover them with one part number: CAN bus including J1939 for engines, RS485 / Modbus for controllers, battery management systems and inverters, Ethernet for networked devices, digital inputs and outputs for simple signals, and Bluetooth.

It runs from any 9–30 V DC supply, has a lithium backup battery so it keeps reporting if the main supply is disconnected, and has full-constellation GNSS fitted as standard. Cellular connectivity covers LTE, LTE-M and NB-IoT for remote sites.

White-label: your brand, your customers

The portal can be white-labelled, so your customers log in to remote monitoring under your brand rather than ours. Remote monitoring becomes part of your product and your customer relationship — a feature you sell and support, without building or hosting a platform yourself.

Behind the brand, your customers get the full portal: a map and dashboard for every unit they run, history for each reading, and alert rules sent by email, webhook or Slack.

Your data, your systems

Every connected unit appears in the portal with location, status, history and alerts. The same data can be streamed over MQTT or read through the API, so it can feed your service desk, your own customer systems or your product engineering team.

How factory fit works

A typical programme with a manufacturer runs in four steps:

  • Review: we look at your product's controllers, battery systems and wiring, and agree what data matters to you and your customers.
  • Prototype: Neo 2 is fitted to a pilot unit, connected and tested, and the readings are set up in the portal.
  • Production: a fitting and test procedure is agreed for the line, so every unit is installed and checked the same way.
  • Support: units are activated as they ship, and we support you and your customers from the UK.

Designed and supported in the UK

TrackSyte is designed by Green Power Solutions Ltd at the Pool Innovation Centre in Cornwall — both the field hardware and the portal. That means one team for hardware, firmware and software questions, and an engineering team you can talk to when your product changes.

Distributors and resellers

We also work with distributors and resellers who supply equipment, telematics or automation products to construction, hire, security and power customers, in the UK and overseas. If you would like to add remote monitoring to your range, get in touch.

FAQs

Can Neo 2 be fitted during manufacture?

Yes. Neo 2 is designed to be fitted on the production line, wired to your controllers and battery systems, and tested before each unit ships.

Which equipment manufacturers is this for?

Manufacturers of CCTV and security towers, generators, hybrid power units, battery storage, welfare units, lighting towers, pumps and similar equipment that runs on a 9–30 V DC supply.

Can we white-label the portal?

Yes. The portal can be white-labelled under your brand, so your customers see your name when they log in to monitor the equipment you supplied.

Can our customers get the data in our own systems?

Yes. As well as the TrackSyte Portal, data can be streamed over MQTT or read through the API into your own service, customer or engineering systems.

What if our products use different controllers?

Neo 2 has CAN bus, RS485 / Modbus, Ethernet, digital inputs and Bluetooth on one device, so one gateway can usually cover several product lines.

Do you work with distributors?

Yes. We work with distributors and resellers in the UK and overseas. Get in touch to discuss your market.
